Pupil premium
At Rhodes Green CE Primary School, we are ambitious for every child and are committed to ensuring that no pupil’s background or circumstances become a barrier to their success.
The Pupil Premium is additional government funding provided to schools to improve educational outcomes for disadvantaged pupils. We use this funding carefully and strategically, considering the individual needs of our children and the barriers that may affect their learning, attendance, wellbeing or access to wider opportunities.
Our approach is centred on high-quality teaching for all, alongside targeted academic support and wider strategies where these are needed. This may include additional intervention, pastoral and wellbeing support, attendance work, access to enrichment opportunities and resources that help children participate fully in school life.
We recognise that disadvantage does not look the same for every child. Our provision is therefore based on knowing our pupils and families well, identifying barriers and ensuring support is purposeful and has a positive impact.
We regularly review how Pupil Premium funding is used and evaluate its impact on children’s outcomes and experiences.
At Rhodes Green, our ambition extends beyond academic achievement. We want every child to have the opportunity to participate, experience, achieve and aspire, regardless of their starting point or circumstances.
Our current Pupil Premium Strategy Statement, detailing our priorities, planned expenditure and how we evaluate impact, can be viewed below.
