Curriculum

At Rhodes Green CE Primary School, our curriculum is at the heart of our ambition for every child.

As we begin our new chapter, we are developing a curriculum that is ambitious, carefully sequenced and designed to inspire. We want our children to develop secure knowledge and skills, but also to be curious, creative and excited about the world around them.

Our curriculum provides strong foundations in reading, writing and mathematics, alongside a rich and purposeful range of subjects and experiences. We want children to encounter great books, explore the world, investigate, question, create, perform, compete and discover talents and interests they may not yet know they have.

We recognise that every child is different. Our curriculum is designed to be inclusive and accessible, while maintaining high expectations for all. We provide the support children need to succeed while ensuring that every pupil is challenged to achieve their potential.

Learning at Rhodes Green extends beyond the classroom. Trips, visitors, enrichment, outdoor learning and opportunities within our local community help bring learning to life and build the cultural capital our children need for their next steps.

Above all, our curriculum reflects our Christian vision to “shine as stars in the world” and our DREAM Values. We want children to leave Rhodes Green knowledgeable and confident, but also kind, resilient, ambitious and ready for the next chapter of their lives.
