School meals

At Rhodes Green CE Primary School, we believe that a healthy, nutritious meal helps children to learn, grow and thrive. Our school meals are freshly prepared and provide a balanced choice each day, with options to suit a variety of tastes and dietary requirements.

Children can enjoy a delicious hot meal or choose from the available daily menu options. We encourage families to make us aware of any allergies, medical needs or dietary requirements so that we can ensure every child is catered for safely.

School meals cost £2.90 per day and should be paid for in advance using the school’s online payment system.

Children in Reception, Year 1 and Year 2 are entitled to Universal Infant Free School Meals, meaning they can enjoy a school meal every day at no cost to parents or carers.

Some children in Key Stage 2 may also be eligible for Free School Meals if their family meets the qualifying criteria. Applying for Free School Meals may also provide additional funding to support your child’s education through Pupil Premium.

If your child prefers, they are welcome to bring a healthy packed lunch from home. We encourage packed lunches to support our commitment to healthy eating by including a balanced selection of nutritious food and drinks.
