Welcome to Evergreen Class, the final chapter of our children’s primary school journey and a year full of opportunities, challenges and memories to treasure.

In Year 6, we encourage children to become confident, independent and ambitious learners, ready to embrace everything their final year at Rhodes Green has to offer. We have high expectations and support every child to challenge themselves, take pride in their achievements and develop the resilience to keep going when things feel difficult.
Throughout the year, children consolidate and deepen their learning in reading, writing and mathematics, alongside a rich wider curriculum. While preparing children academically for the transition to secondary school is important, Year 6 at Rhodes Green is about so much more than SATs.

As the oldest children in our school, Evergreen pupils have an important role to play. We encourage them to be leaders and positive role models, demonstrating our DREAM Values and setting an example for the younger children who look up to them.

Year 6 also brings special experiences, responsibilities and opportunities to celebrate friendships and everything children have achieved during their time with us.

Most importantly, we want every child to leave Rhodes Green believing in themselves, excited about their future and ready for whatever comes next.
