Maple

Welcome to Maple Class, where our Year 4 children continue to grow as confident, independent and enthusiastic learners.

In Maple Class, we encourage children to aim high, challenge themselves and take increasing responsibility for their learning. Year 4 is an important stage in Key Stage 2, where children build upon their existing knowledge while developing greater independence, resilience and confidence.

Throughout the year, children strengthen their skills in reading, writing and mathematics, alongside an exciting wider curriculum that gives them opportunities to investigate, question, create, perform and discover.

Our DREAM Values are woven throughout life in Maple Class. We encourage children to show Determination when faced with challenges, treat others with Respect and Empathy, have Aspiration for their futures and demonstrate strong Morals through the choices they make.

We want children to recognise their strengths, celebrate their progress and understand that success comes through effort, perseverance and a willingness to learn from mistakes.

Alongside academic learning, Year 4 is about developing friendships, discovering new interests and becoming increasingly confident members of our Rhodes Green family.

Like the maple tree, our children continue to grow stronger, reach higher and show just how brightly they can shine.
